About Us

We are the student chapter affiliated with both SIAM (the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics) and the IMA (Institute for Mathematics and its Applications) at the University of Bath.

Our committee of PhD students organises talks, socials, and conferences to bring together those passionate about applied mathematics and its real-world impact. Membership is open to all students at the University of Bath.

How to Join

Join the Bath Student Chapter: Fill out our quick Google Form to be added to our mailing list.
Join SIAM: Once you’re a member of our chapter, you can join SIAM here. Select University of Bath as your chapter to access journals, activity groups, and funding opportunities.
Join the IMA: PhD and Masters students can become Affiliate Members for £10 per year, or sign up for the free eStudent newsletter.
